Nyungwe National Park
Nyungwe is particularly famous for its 13 primate species, including eastern chimpanzees, Ruwenzori black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Its diverse habitats also support more than 300 bird species, numerous orchids, and rare mammals. The park is especially important for protecting species endemic to the Albertine Rift region. African Parks
The park offers guided chimpanzee tracking, birdwatching, rainforest hiking, and a suspended canopy walkway that provides sweeping views over the treetops. Other attractions include scenic waterfalls, cycling trails, a forest zipline, and a rope course. These activities make Nyungwe particularly appealing to wildlife enthusiasts and adventure travelers.
